Today's project is a banner that was inspired by my friend Candace over at Paper Crafts by Candace. She does some awesome banners, so I thought I'd try to make one too. I decided to go with "Thankful" because this month I took the thankful challenge on Facebook and have decided to say what I'm thankful for every day in the month of November. Halloween Blog Hop Day #1

Link Up For Pink

As most of you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So this month I decided to participate in a Link Up For Pink party. For more inforation on this and to check out all the fantastic pink projects please check out Celeste's at Touched by A Butterfly. For my project I decided to create a pink tutu. I think it turned out pretty awesome and my girls really love it.

Clip Board

Check out this clipboard I made using a new stack from Michael's. I tried something a little different for this board. I used a plastic clipboard I got in a three pack at Sam's Club. These clipboards are an odd size so a 12x12 sheet of paper is too small. You can not remove the clip at the top of the board so you have to work around it. And I learned this morning while trying to make a second one you must use thick card-stock and not paper or the mod podge will just soak the paper. All in all I think it turned out super cute, I just love that colors.

It's hard to see in the picture but the lips are glittery on this paper. I was a little worried the mod podge would ruin the glitter affect but it didn't. I think it actually made it look better LOL

So before I get to my project I'll give you a little background about me. My name is Katie and I live in Northern California. I am a full time wife & mother and loving every minute of it. LOL I enjoy all kinds of crafting, but mainly my focus right now is paper crafting. Last year I started making hairbows which I'll be featuring on my blog in a few weeks. I hope you'll become a follower and check back often to see what I've made. When my blog reaches 100 followers I'll be giving away some goodies. Thanks so much for stopping by now on to my project.

I used the Simply Charmed cartridge to create the cute little sun. Ribbon is from the Hairbow Center. I used MS ink and inked the inside of my cuttlebug folder before running it through the machine.

Thinking of you card

Here's a project I made using a new technique (atleast to me it's new). I inked the inside of my cuttlebug folder and then ran it through the cuttleug machine. I think it gives a pretty nice look to an already great embossed image. I think it's also a great way to add a little color to your card without going overboard. Hope you like it.

Hey all, it's almost Friday. YAY!!! I know it's been a few days since I've posted. Things are crazy around my house, our summer is just flying by. My oldest daughter starts the first grade this year and she'll be 6 in a week. So we've been busy planning her pool party and getting her ready to go back to school.

Now on to my card:

Treat Boxes

Well I know it's been awhile since I posted, we are finally home and I am back to crafting in my room with all my supplies. This month we are celebrating the 50th Wedding Anniversary of my Aunt & Uncle. They asked if I would make treat bags or boxes to put on the tables for the party. So over the weekend I was looking for some different box ideas and saw the cute boxes that Sarah from Pink Cricut made on her USTREAM Friday night. Super cute & so easy, no cutting and you only need one piece of 8.5x11 sheet of paper. I will include the link for her page & video at the bottom of my post. Now onto what I made.

This box was made using the Michael's Recollections Elegance Printed Cardstock pack and a little piece of black ribbon for the box.

This box was made using the Michael's Recollections Soda Pop pack and some Tulle for the bow.

My Aunt wasn't sure if she wanted to go with the traditional gold color for the 50th but after seeing these she decided they would look great in gold. So I'm off to Michael's today to see what I can find. Have a great Tuesday Everyone~Katie O

Happy 4th of July Weekend

Hope you all have a Happy & Safe 4th of July weekend. I'd like to Thank all the Men & Women serving in the military past, present & future. Be safe & Come home Soon!

I haven't had much time for crafting but have been working on something in my head so hopefully I can get it all down on paper on Tuesday when my hubby goes back to work. I'd love to hear what everyone else is working on the weekend, so feel free to leave me a comment.

I went to Wal-Mart where I bought some composition books for $0.40. I then added a little paper to the top. This pack is from Hobby Lobby and it's called Safari Untamed (glossy finish). I used some twine from The Twinery, my Martha Stewart Punch and some ribbon on the purple book.
